Our Story
The story of AHÁ Joyas para el Alma begins with a significant personal and profound search from its founder, Erika Ardila; who was driven by an innate passion for jewelry and a need to find pieces that resonated with her spirit. Erika embarked on a spiritual journey that led her to explore the rich indigenous cultures of Colombia. It was on this journey of self-discovery that she learned the meaning of the word “AHÁ”, which in the ancestral language means “to affirm from the heart” or “thus it is, thus it shall be”. This discovery became the cornerstone of her vision, inspiring her to create a brand of jewelry that would not only adorn the body, but would also touch the soul.
Since its inception, AHÁ Joyas para el Alma has sought to imbue each of its pieces with a deep spiritual meaning. Using Colombian artisan jewelry techniques, this company uses versatile and unusual materials such as agate, turquoise, quartz, jade, pearls and tourmalines, combined with silver and bronze and adorned with 18-carat gold. These jewels are not only beautiful, but exceptional in that they carry an inner message of connection to nature and inner energy.
The creation of this unique jewelry is made possible through the collaboration of satellite workshops run by artisans who are heads of households. These talented craftswomen create each piece according to the specific requirements of the customer, ensuring that each piece of jewelry is as unique as the person who wears it. This approach not only promotes the empowerment and economic development of the artisans, but also ensures that each AHÁ creation is an authentic expression of love, healing and gratitude.
Inspired by everyday experiences and the rich variety of colors, smells and contrasts of Mother Earth, AHÁ's jewelry will never go unnoticed. Each piece reflects a deep appreciation of existence and a sincere connection to the natural beauty that surrounds us.
